Overview: Prime is neither a strict polish nor a wax nor a polymer sealant, but a combination of cleaning and conserving agents that work together systematically to produce and maintain exceptional shine. Prime combines within one product: cleaning agents, UV protective agents, conserving agents, and shining agents. Prime represents over four decades of research and experience in paint protection chemistry. The formula builds on the exceptional protective qualities of the exclusive German polyethylene-acrylic nano-scale polymers by incorporating surface cleaners that prep the paint to create an exceptionally smooth surface to which the protective materials can bond. By using ultra-fine nano scale particles, Prime can achieve unparalleled surface density, improving resistance to environmental factors such as heat, acid, and ultraviolet damage as well as mechanical damage from surface contaminants that would otherwise mar or scratch. As a second benefit, this microscopically smooth and level coating possesses superior optical characteristics. The ultra smooth surface ensures that low-angle incident light is brilliantly reflected for mirror-like images while the high refractive index of our acrylic polymers allows high-angle light to refract into the dense polymer coating for improved depth of color. And, the light transmittance of acrylic polymers exceeds that of optical glass, ensuring that Prime reveals the beauty of your paint with unobstructed clarity. Werkstatt Prime is the closest an acrylic has ever come to the depth normally associated with high quality carnauba waxes yet offers the reflectance and clarity of shine characteristic of synthetics. And, in terms of longevity and protection, there is simply no comparison: Prime trumps any conventional wax with its elastic sealing layer that resists acid, UV, weather, and detergent degradation. Notes: While not suitable for porous and rough plastic, Prime will not stain trim. Excess should be wiped off immediately, though.  As a small company with a direct connection to our customers, the Werkstatt can offer some specialized formulas that a larger company with a broader distribution network would not be able to. The following Special Editions of Prime are one example. All are offshoots of the Prime formula and perform similar tasks in the detailing process... they simply do so in modestly different ways! Each of the following has been tweaked to fulfill a more specific need than Prime alone. You wouldn't use more than one Prime on any given surface during a detailing session; you'd simply select the one that best meets the needs at hand. While the original Prime formula is still the most balanced, all-purpose product, you may find that one of these limited production formulas is tailor made for your needs. | |

Description: While the standard Prime is wonderfully balanced between all of its functional requirements, we wanted to push the formula further toward the acrylic sealant aspect. Prime: Acrylic maximizes the content of acrylic polymers for improved durabiity while maintaining the ease-of-use that Prime is known for. This formula is tailored for the detailer using Prime as a stand-alone, all-in-one cleaner/wax rather than as a basecoat for further layers. (Although even as a basecoat, a little extra durability never hurts!) This characteristic is particularly good for areas like engine bays and door jambs where a multi-step process is impractical but where durable protection is important. Description: Prime has always excelled as a preparatory base layer for high-grade carnauba waxes, like our own Carnauba Jett. Now, with Prime: Carnauba, we have a product tailored to this function. The highest grade Brazilian prime #1 yellow carnauba has been carefully integrated into the balanced Prime formulation for a final product that is one step closer to a finishing wax. In fact, the carnauba content of this formula is higher than in many commercial waxes! Yet, the same qualities that have made Prime such a hit have been maintained. Even when topped by an acrylic or polymer sealant, the carnauba in the base coat can add a bit of warmth, a bit of depth, and a bit of hiding power to the finish. Note: due to the natural characteristics of carnauba wax, this product is best buffed off after each panel rather than waiting the full 30 minutes as with Prime itself. Description: We think of this formula as a 120% version of Prime! It employs both more acrylic polymers for better durability and protection and also an incrementally stronger polishing agent to address more paint imperfections. This formula takes Prime a step toward a finishing polish and can eliminate the need for a separate finishing polish in many instances. Prime: Strong can address light marring and swirling more effectively than Prime, yet the polishing agents--though stronger--are still gentle enough for regular use. It makes a beautiful, easy hand polish for those without machine polishers, and it works quite well as a chrome polish and sealant. Packaging: 500 mL with Dispensing Cap Price: 23.95

APPLY: By hand or random orbital polisher, gently rub into surface with quality foam or microfiber pad. For best results, work Prime into the surface until it just begins to dry. 3.
